However this is not a story of my journey in any form of Martial Art, that is for another day, it is about why people should start looking at getting onto a traditional Martial Arts class. Recently earned my 1st Dan Black Belt after what could be considered a lifetime of trying to find the art for me. Later in life I would try Karate, Taekwondo, Aikido, Jujitsu, Judo, before settling down with Shotokan Karate. It seemed at the time a good way to get kids into martial arts and self-defence, however as I get older and look back at what they taught maybe wasn't necessarily the best but it could be considered my entry martial art. The class was in community centre in Dunfermline.

I was about 10 years old when I started my first Martial Arts class, it was Spirit Combat International Aikijutsu. In modern times where there are different schools the world over the hardest thing about martial arts is the question 'Which art do I choose?' Steeped in mysterious, and sometimes just misunderstood, history these arts can benefit people in various ways, from Self-defence to better health. That night just wasnвЂ™t my night.Martial Arts are widely known across the world from Aikido to Yaw-Yan. IвЂ™m excited to go out there and prove that I could win that fight. I learned a lot about that fight, and I learned a lot about my career, and I feel like IвЂ™ve gotten so much better because I feel like I learned a lot from that loss alone and every loss since then.

IвЂ™ve had people that are always asking me at the end of every fight, вЂYou need to call out Roxanne,вЂ™ and IвЂ™m like, вЂNo, because I donвЂ™t like to call out people.вЂ™ вЂњI knew that was going to happen eventually. вЂњIt doesnвЂ™t surprise me that her and I are matched up again,вЂќ Lee said. Lee, who lost to Modafferi via split decision in their first bout, is not surprised to be getting booked against вЂњThe Happy Warrior.вЂќ Lee had a feeling the two would get matched up again at some point.
